Does Claude actually add a watermark?
You may have seen claims that Claude embeds an invisible watermark in generated text or images. We haven't found a published, verifiable source from Anthropic confirming that, so we won't claim this tool detects or removes a "Claude watermark" specifically. Starting with the honest answer: we don't have a verified source confirming Claude embeds its own watermark.
Does Claude add a watermark to the images or text it generates?
Claude doesn't natively generate images. For text, we haven't found a published, verifiable source from Anthropic describing an invisible watermarking system the way Google's SynthID or OpenAI's C2PA credentials work — so we don't claim this tool can detect or remove a "Claude watermark." If you have a source confirming otherwise, we're happy to revisit this.
How can you tell if text has an invisible watermark?
In general, invisible text watermarks aren't detectable just by reading the content — they typically require the specific detection system that matches how the watermark was generated. There's no universal way to check for one without knowing the underlying scheme.
Does paraphrasing remove an AI text watermark?
It depends entirely on how the watermark works. Paraphrasing changes wording, which can disrupt some statistical watermarking schemes, but it isn't a reliable universal method — and it isn't something this tool does or claims to do.
